The 'One Thing' star unveiled the inkwork during the group's appearance on the hit reality show last night.
One Direction singer Liam Payne has showcased a new tattoo, which features four arrows/chevrons on his right arm, during the band's appearance on The X Factor USA last night (8th November).
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars were performing their single 'Live While We're Young' on the hit music reality show before later giving a rendition of new release 'Little Things'.
The group began their performance stood on the top of a set of knocked over red phone boxes before walking onto the main section of the stage to whip the audience into a frenzy.
Huge colourful balloons also make their way into the arena with the boys enjoying the fun-filled antics of their performance.
Fans of the band have been taking to Twitter to suggest that the arrows represent each one of Liam's bandmates all pointing in One Direction.
Meanwhile, bandmate Harry Styles has also been seen debuting some of his new inkwork after visiting David Beckham's regular tattoo parlour, Shamrock Tattoos before their performance.
One Direction are also currently preparing to release their new studio album 'Take Me Home' – which will be unveiled next week on 12th November.
