Kelly Rowland, Will.i.am and Emeli Sande have all posted similar tributes across Twitter over the weekend.

"Showing respect appreciation and love for all the wonderful music and joy #ettajames brought to the world… #ettajamesforever," Will.i.am tweeted.
BRITs Critics Choice winner Emeli Sande said: "So sad to hear about the loss of Etta James but I know she has inspired so many musicians that will carry her light for years to come."
