Jay-Z Signs Timbaland To Roc Nation Label

The '99 Problems' rapper says "welcome to the family" as he announces latest acquisition.

Jay-Z has announced that producer Timbaland has signed to his Roc Nation label.

The 'Empire State Of Mind' rapper made the announcement on his Life + Times blog this week and said "welcome to the family" alongside an accompanying photo.

The artist most recently teamed up for regular collaborator Justin Timberlake for the star's comeback single 'Suit & Tie'.

Timbaland, who has had hits with such tracks like 'The Way I Are' and 'Give It To Me', logged onto his Twitter account to thank all the fans who had expressed good luck messages to him following the announcement.

"just want thank everybody on congratulating me on the new business venture. i appreciate it. #bigmoves #newbeginnings #rocnation," he tweeted.

Timbaland has helped produce Justin Timberlake's forthcoming new album 'The 20/20 Experience', which is released on 18th March in the UK.

As well as making his return to music in 2013, Justin will also star in the new Coen Brothers film 'Inside Llewellyn Davis'.
