Jay-Z Hasn't Forgiven Robert De Niro After Fall Out: "Everyone Has To Be Respectful"

The 'Holy Grail' rapper says he has yet to contact Robert De Niro after their argument at an event in 2012.

Jay-Z says he hasn't forgiven Robert De Niro for their falling out last year and says "no one is above" being respectful to other people.

The 'Empire State Of Mind' was given a public telling-off from the Taxi Driver star in November 2012 at Leonardo DiCaprio's 38th birthday party for allegedly not returning his phone calls.

When asked about the confrontation between the pair, Jay-Z confirmed he has still not returned De Niro's calls and feels that is "the end of it" because he felt disrespected.

"Who? No, no I haven't," Jay-Z revealed on US radio station Power this week. "I treat people based on who they are, who they really are.

"Not the name, not Robert De Niro," he explained. "It doesn't matter who you are, everyone has to be respectful and everyone has to be a human being. No one is above.

"That's just the end of it and that's how I carry it with anybody," Jay-Z added.

The exchange reportedly happened over De Niro's claims that Jay-Z had agreed to record a song for the Tribeca Film Festival but then failed to follow through on the agreement.

Earlier this week Jay-Z shot a new music video for his song 'Picasso Baby' that saw him performing the track at New York's Pace gallery for over six hours.

Jay-Z returned with new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' this week.
