Cheryl Cole On Addressing Prince Charles Incorrectly: "He Couldn't Stop Laughing"

The 'Call My Name' singer called His Royal Highness by his first name when they first met.

Cheryl Cole has revealed that she made Prince Charles laugh when she addressed him incorrectly the first they met.

The Girls Aloud star, whose own Cheryl Cole Foundation is currently working with the Prince's Trust, said she felt embarrassed by her mistake.

"The first time I had tea with him at Clarence House, I had an etiquette lesson on how to address him," she told Grazia.

"But I forgot to say Prince and just called him Charles, which was embarrassing and someone started coughing at my mistake behind me to correct me. But he couldn't stop laughing."

Meanwhile, Cheryl said that she was able to relate to the youngsters that her foundation helped because she had endured a "tough upbringing" as well.

She added: "I understand what it feels like to get bullied like some of them".

The 'Call My Name' star was among the acts who performed at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert in London in June.

Cheryl released her third solo album 'A Million Lights' was released last month and features the singles 'Call My Name' and forthcoming track 'Under The Sun'.
