RULES

1. The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/ (the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to ‘Direct to London with Grand Central Rail’ radio competition (the “Competition") which will run from Monday 8th September 2014 to Friday 12th September 2014 on Capital Yorkshire.

2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

Details of the Competition:

3. Listeners will be invited to enter the competition as directed by the presenters on-air. Telephone calls will be charged at standard network rates. The opening and closing times of the Telephone Line will be given out on air.

4. All Entrants selected to play on air will be required to talk to the presenter(s) and the conversation will be recorded and played on-air. If the caller fails to answer a return call from Global, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over or cannot continue the call for any reason the call may be terminated and another Entrant selected at random.

5. Each day a randomly selected caller will be brought to air. The entrant must try and get ‘direct to London’ by answering one question based on the area in which the starting train station is located (e.g. York) and if they answer the question correctly, they will have to answer a question on London itself. The entrant must get both questions right in order to win the prize. If either question is answered incorrectly, the lines will reopen and another caller will have the opportunity to steal the prize.

6. The winner will have to answer both questions correctly to secure the prize. The winner will be notified on air.

Eligibility:

7. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

8. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Competition.

Prize:

9. 1 night break for 2 people to London. Including:

  • 1 night’s accommodation including bed and breakfast

  • train travel provided by Grand Central Rail

  • £250 spending money.

Prize Terms and Conditions

10. Spending Money will be in the form of a £250 cheque, which will be sent to the winner via post within 28 days of the prize being won On Air.

11. Overnight accommodation at a centrally located four star hotel in London for two people with breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Hotel is classed as a 4 star and is based on two people sharing a twin or double room with ensuite facilities on a bed and breakfast basis.

12. A pair of Grand Central First Class return train tickets to London.

13. Each winner will receive a pair of Grand Central First Class return tickets to London from any of Grand Central’s calling points on the North East or West Riding routes. (Participating stations are Sunderland, Hartlepool, Eaglescliffe, Northallerton, Thirsk, York, Bradford Interchange, Halifax, Brighouse, Mirfield, Wakefield Kirkgate, Pontefract Monkhill and Doncaster).Details of train routes and times can be found at grandcentralrail.com.

14. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable and no alternative will be offered.

15. Tickets cannot be used between Wednesday 24th to Wednesday 31st December 2014 inclusive and are subject to availability.

16. The promoter is Grand Central Railway Company Limited, 5th Floor, Cannon House, 18 Priory Queensway, Birmingham B4 6BS. Registered address Grand Central Railway Company Limited, Admiral Way, Doxford International Business Park, Sunderland SR3 3XP (the “Promoter”). The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.

17. Global reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
