Sheffield Hallam Student Dies Of Suspected Meningitis

The South Yorkshire Uni has confirmed one of their students has died of suspected Meningitis.

Sheffield Hallam University say they were told on Friday about the death of one of their students.

Clive Macdonald, Director of student and learning services at Sheffield Hallam, said they are "working closely" with the Health Protection Agency.

They’ve contacted all those who could be at risk but urge anyone concerned about their health to see a doctor.

Mr Macdonald said the cause of the student's death had not been confirmed and the student has not been identified.
