Works had to be evacuated at a pub in Leeds and a business park after a hand grenade was found in a car park.

Bomb disposal experts got the call around 8am this morning, after a handyman at the Gildersome Arms, near Morley was clearing litter and found the grenade.

Police sealed off the arena on Asquith Avenue by the pub.

The army have now removed the grenade and blew it up in a near-by field.

Police are trying to found out more about the grenade and where it came from.
