2 Charged Over Huddersfield Kidnap

A man and a boy have been charged with the attempted murder and kidnap of a woman in Huddersfield.

The 25-year-old man 17-year-old boy both from the town appeared before Magistrates this morning (Tuesday 31st May)

The 25-year-old man has also been charged with possession of a weapon.

It's after a motorist called the police just after midnight on Sunday saying he'd found the 27-year-old woman in a dishevelled state near to the Woodsome Hall Golf Club, Fenay Bridge.

Detectives are now appealing for more information, they would particularly like to speak to anyone who was driving along Woodsome Road after 11pm on Saturday and just after midnight, as it is believed that a number of cars passed the woman but failed to stop.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a Vauxhall Astra near to the golf club that same night.

A man aged 49-years and a woman aged 46-years-old, who were also arrested in connection with this investigation, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
