Three people have been injured after a helicopter crashed near woodland in Salisbury.
The civilian helicopter came down at the Churchfields Industrial Estate at about 9.40am on Tuesday January the 10th.
Great Western Ambulance Service said three men on board have all been taken to hospital.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said:
''We got the call at 9.40 this morning.
''It was a civilian helicopter and the tail of it hit a tree as it came down.
''There were two passengers and the pilot, all male.''
The aircraft came down near Stephenson Road behind a council tip on the industrial estate.
Police officers remain at the scene, which has been cordoned off, and an investigation is under way, police said.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
A spokeswoman for Great Western Ambulance Service said:
''We got the call to attend an incident involving a helicopter.
''We attended to three patients, two were flown to Southampton General Hospital, by the South Central Ambulance Service, and a third patient was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by road ambulance.
''It's three males and they are all middle aged, and the injuries vary between back pain, query of head injury, query of dislocated ankle and one of the patients was complaining of chest pain.''
Eyewitness Brian Voce of Voce's coal merchants, in Stephenson Road, told the Salisbury Journal, he thought the pilot was trying to find somewhere to land.
''He started to come down but the ground there is very uneven,'' he said.
''It went out of control and crashed into the trees.
''Luckily the people managed to get out before it flipped over.''
