Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was assaulted by another teenager in Water Lane, Totton on Friday, March 4th.
It happened between 9.45pm and 10.15pm.
A 13-year-old girl was with a group of young people when another girl approached her and punched her in the face. The attacker also made racially abusive comments to the her.
The 13-year-old suffered a suspected broken nose and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Police are keen to speak to a girl in connection with this incident. She is described as:
- between 14 and 15 years old
- around 5ft 2 ins tall
- medium length, straight blonde hair which was tied up in a bow
- wearing a dark leather jacket, tight blue jeans, black sparkly leg warmers and Nike trainers.
PC Bill Nye, of Hythe police station, said: “Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or who recognises the description of this individual to come forward.
“We believe this was an unprovoked attack and would urge anyone who has any information which could help us with our investigation to contact police.”
