Six people have today been charged by police following a series of warrants at addresses in Hampshire and London on Tuesday morning (April 3).
Officers from the constabulary’s Major Investigation Team (HMIT) executed a total of eight warrants, six at addresses in London and two in Southampton – at properties in Baxter Road and Fullerton Close.
The warrants are part of an investigation targeting individuals suspected of being involved in an organised crime network working between London and Southampton, supplying heroin and crack cocaine. The investigation, called Operation Independence, hasbeen ongoing since July, 2011.
All six have been charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and conspiracy to supply heroin, between June 22, 2011 and April 4, 2012.
Those charged are:
Santino White, 19, of Yeames Close, Eling;
Jahlani McCalmon, 22, of Silverdale Gardens, Hayes;
Jarvis Ansah, 21, of Baxter Road, Southampton;
Bradley Roberts, 19, of Rugby Avenue, Wembley;
Damien Davies, 30, of Fullerton Close, Southampton.
And a 16-year-old boy from London.
They will appear before magistrates in Southampton this morning.
The arrests on Tuesday were conducted by officers from HMIT with the assistance of the Force Support Unit, the Metropolitan Police Service’s Trident team and its’ Serious Youth Violence Project.
