Police Searching For Portsmouth Flasher

A report of a man indecently exposing himself in front of a woman in Portsmouth is prompting a police appeal for more information.

A 26-year-old woman from London visited Southsea Police Station on the evening of Thursday, July 28 to give a statement about what happened to her.

She was walking alone back to her parked car at 11pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 after a meal with friends at Gunwharf Quays.

The woman noticed a man around two to three metres away in Burnaby Road. He was indecently exposing himself to her. The woman was worried for her safety and ran away from the man.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said:

"The woman was not physically assaulted but has told officers she was genuinely in fear of being attacked by this man, who she did not know. We'd like to thank the woman for her time and co-operation after these upsetting events. She has given permission for a media appeal to be issued with a description of a suspect."

He was described as:

> White

> Tanned skin

> Aged in his early to mid-20s

> 5 ft 10 ins to 6 ft tall

> Slim build

> Clean shaven

> Brown hair

He was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, and had a bicycle with him.
