Man Charged With Murdering Delia Hughes

A man's been charged with the murder of Southampton pensioner, Delia Hughes.

Unemployed Jamie Boult, who's 24 and from Chessel Crescent in Bitterne will appear in court on Tuesday September the 18th.

85-year-old Delia was found by relatives at her ground-floor flat in Atlantic Close, Ocean Village, Southampton, on August 18th.

A post-mortem examination found she died from blunt force injuries. 

Mrs Hughes was originally from Blackpool in Lancashire but had lived in Southampton for the past 17 years. Before she retired, she had worked as a supervisor for Littlewoods.
