The head of Hampshire police has spoken out about one of his officers who was badly injured in a crash in Fareham.
Chief Constable Alex Marshall posted on twitter that the 52 year old 'needs an operation but is on the mend' and he's praised the NHS for their hard work.
"Thanks for all the kind messages following serious injury to our officer last weekend."
The officer was on a training exercise on the A32 on Friday 11th November 2011, when his motorbike was in a collision with a Citroen C5 Estate car in the early afternoon.
The Citroen driver was arrested on suspicion of careless driving and has now been bailed until January 2012.
