Disabled Man Hit By Car In Southampton

A 34 year old disabled Southampton man has suffered a fracture to his leg after a car hit his motorised wheelchair as it left a car park.

The incident occurred on Friday, October 28 as the man was travelling along Queens Terrace in the direction of Ocean Village at around 9.30pm.

The man was almost knocked out of his chair following the collision which happened as a metallic dark green '52 reg. Peugeot 406 was leaving a car park near to Ocean Village.

After the driver and his passenger checked to see if the man was alright, they left the scene without exchanging details, driving off in the direction of Terminus Terrace. It was only later after the man attended hospital that he discovered he had a broken

Police are now keen to trace the driver and his passenger who are described as:

Both were black, one was:

-Aged approx 35 years old

-Approx 5ft 10ins tall

-Slim build

-Short black hair

-He was wearing dark clothing

The second man was:

-Also aged approx 35 years old

-5ft 8ins tall

-Slim build

-Short black hair

-He was wearing jeans and a blue jumper

Police are keen to identify any potential witnesses to this incident and to identify the vehicle, the driver and his passenger.
