Police are appealing for information after a burglary on house in Dibden on Saturday (Jan 8).

Police are appealing for information following a burglary to a property on Applemore Hill in Dibden on Saturday (Jan 8).

The incident is believed to have occurred between 1.25pm and 4pm in Applemore Hill.

A gold Rolex watch with a red face and worth around £17000, a Panerai watch worth around £2500 and an HD camcorder worth between £800 and £1000 were taken from the property.

The offenders forced entry to the side of the property, activating the alarm.

PC Dean Miller, of Lyndhurst police station, said: “Police are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around those times to get in touch.

“This is a high value burglary and the offender is likely to try and resell the items stolen at a price well below the market value. If you know of anyone selling items matching the descriptions above, we would ask that you inform the police.

“Although burglary levels are low in the New Forest we would urge local residents to be vigilant and to keep an eye out for any suspicious individuals or vehicles in the area and to report anything out of the ordinary to police immediately.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Dean Miller at Lyndhurst police station on 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
