Carry on some Glasgow Christmas Traditions of your own or make some new ones this year!

Check out Capital Des, Steven, Amy and Garry’s Traditions!

Des’ Traditions

My Christmas traditions start in the run up to Christmas. I love hitting the Christmas market, stuffing my face with a roll and sausage while I do my nosey at all the brilliant stalls. Then I’ll hit the style mile to get my festive jumper sorted for the Christmas night out.

For me though, the biggest tradition has to be panto. I used to go and watch it every year as a wee boy and I’ve been lucky enough to star in a fair few as well. I’ll definitely try to catch as many pantos around Glasgow as I can this Christmas. Oh yes I will!!

Amy's Traditions

Christmas for me is all about spending some overdue time with family and friends.

From dinner and cocktails in Princes Square, to a toasty hot chocolate while taking in the Christmas markets it's a great time of year to get out and about in Glasgow. That combined with, shopping for gifts, Christmas parties and a trip to the panto has me wishing it was Christmas in Glasgow all the time!

Steven's Traditions

Christmas time is about spending time with my family and friends. It almost always involves a few drinks and of course plenty of food. There's always that awkward moment when you need to ask your mum what food can't be eaten from the fridge because its for Christmas day!

My biggest tradition though would be watching, and going to, football matches over the festive period. There are always big matches and derbies and for me that's a huge part of Christmas.

Garry’s Traditions

As a Club DJ, Christmas really starts for me when the Christmas Nights Out begin, you can always feel the change in the air when people start to celebrate and let loose for Christmas, the atmosphere in the clubs are electric!

It’s not all work and I always make sure to fit in dinner and drinks with my other half, after hitting the shops to get all our Christmas gifts, and of course a Christmas night out on the town out with my mates.
