The countrys top designers, stylists and models were celebrated at the 6th annual awards show last night with VIP guests including Samantha Cameron.
The Prime Ministers wife, in her role as Ambassador to the British Fashion Council, was there to present the top award, Scottish Fashion Designer of the Year 2011, which went to Jonathan Saunders for the second time.
Stars including Lulu and Dame Shirley Bassey, who wore a tartan dress accessorised with a sporran-shaped handbag, strolled up the red carpet to watch the Scottish Fashion Awards at the Glasgow Science Centre.
Winners included Tali Lennox, daughter of Annie Lennox, who scooped Scottish Model of the Year, and Skins actress Freya Mavor who was named Scottish Fashion Icon as voted for by Capital FM listeners.
Mrs Cameron, who was dressed in a lime green pleated dress by Scottish designer Christopher Kane, said, "I'm thrilled to be here in Glasgow at the Scottish Fashion Awards in my role as Ambassador to the British Fashion Council.
These awards celebrate the very best in Scottish fashion and remind us that Scotland is home to not only inspirational designers but also a very important textile industry."
Other leading lights of the fashion world gracing the red carpet included male supermodel and Dolce & Gabbana campaign star David Gandy, Scottish actress Louise Linton and New York based celebrity stylist Derek Warburton.
Henry Holland, who was named International Designer of the Year, was also there as was photographer Rankin who received the Hall of Fame 2011 award.
Harris Tweed Hebrides won Scottish Textile Brand of the Year while Scottish Young Designer of the Year went to Henrietta Ludgate and Scottish Accessory Designer of the Year to Bebaroque.
The judges included fashion industry leaders such as Dolly Jones, Editor of Vogue.com, Nathalie Colin, Creative Director of Swarovski and Hilary Alexander, Fashion Director of The Daily Telegraph.
The awards ceremony was followed by a black tie gala dinner and a Swarovski runway show.
Pop singer Yasmin performed at the after show party which was hosted by Capital FM DJs GarySpence and Mash.
Founder and producer of the awards Tessa Hartman said, "Tonight we have witnessed an impressive showcase of Scottish fashion talent, working in their respective fields around the world.
We work very hard to provide a global showcase for all our nominees and winners. This evening's star performers are a wonderful asset to Scotland and I salute them all."
She said she was "incredibly grateful" for Mrs Cameron`s support.
