13th January 2013, 21:38
The band's lead singer and Voice UK Judge says its "really, really shocking" to be nominated in the International Group category given the calibre of the competition.
The Script's Danny O'Donoghue has spoken to Capital's Max about the band's nomination at this year's BRIT awards, saying it would be "nice to get a pack on the back from the industry".
They're up for International Group against Fun., The Killers, The Black Keys, and Alabama Shakes, and will learn if they're the winners at London's O2 Arena in February.
The star also admitted that he's a fan of fellow nominees Emeli Sande and Rita Ora, adding their nominations are "well deserved". When asked who he'd work with if he could only work with one of the pair, Danny confessed his choice would be Emeli, as he "loves her lyrics and song writing".
The Script have enjoyed much chart success over the past year, including a number one in the Vodafone Big Top 40 with their will.i.am collaboration, 'Hall of Fame'.
