Man Charged Over North Tyneside Murder

A man's been charged with murder after the death of 25 year old Ryan Armstrong in Wallsend.

21 year old Liam Kennedy from Martin Road in Wallsend, has been charged with murder.

He's at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court later (Monday 18th Feb)

It's thought Ryan Armstrong died of a stab wound following a house party in Burn Closes Crescent in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Three women aged 19, 45 and 20 have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Two men and a woman have been released without further action.

A statement released by Mr Armstrong's family said:
"He was a hard working lad who was a lovely man. We are a close family."
