MOD Name Six Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan

The Ministry Of Defence has named six soldiers, including one from Catterick Garrison, believed to have been killed in Helmand.

The six Service personnel are missing, believed killed, in Afghanistan since Tuesday 6th March 2012.

They're believed to have been killed after their armoured vehicle was caught in an explosion in southern Afghanistan.

The soldier from 1st Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, based at Catterick Garrison is named as:
Sergeant Nigel Coupe, aged 33

The five soldiers from 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment are:
Corporal Jake Hartley, 20
Private Anthony Frampton, 20
Private Christopher Kershaw, 20
Private Daniel Wade, 20
Private Daniel Wilford, 21
