Missing Seaham Man's Car Found

The car of a missing man from Seaham's been found in Northumberland, more than 50 miles away from his home.

38 year old Peter Jackson hasn't been seen since he left his home for work last Monday.

The alarm was raised when he didn't show up for work.

His car, a grey Ford Focus C max car with the registration FY05 CKD and a dent on the rear bumper on the passenger side, has been found near Haltwhistle in Northumberland and police are now searching the area.

The family are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Vicky Guthrie says:
"Peter's family are naturally extremely worried and any information you have may be of help in finding the answer to where Peter is".

Peter's wife Alexia added:
"If anyone knows where Peter is please get in touch with the police urgently.

I cannot describe what our family have been going through since Peter went missing last Monday and we just need to know where Peter is.

I would also like to appeal directly to Peter to get in touch with us, we are all so worried and just need to know that you are safe."

Peter is described as having short dark brown hair and is of stocky build. He was wearing a dark coloured zip up jacket and dark coloured trousers when he was last seen. Police can be contacted on 101.
