Middlesboro soldier flown home

The body of a Middlesbrough soldier killed in an explosion in Afghanistan is being flown home today.

34 year old Warrant Officer Class 2, Charlie Wood, was a bomb disposal expert with 23 Pioneer Regiment of the Royal Logistic Corps.

He was killed in southern Afghanistan on December 28th.

Just a few days before his death, he had organised a Christmas party for his troops.
