Sir Alex To Address United Fans

Retiring manager Sir Alex Ferguson will address Manchester United supporters as the club celebrates its 20th league title with an open top bus parade.

The event takes place on Monday 13th May, a day after United's final home game of the season - and Fergie's last ever at Old Trafford - against Swansea

Celebrations get going at the stadium at 6pm with the players and staff taking their positions on the bus in the forecourt outside the East Stand,

The squad will be introduced to the crowd and Sir Alex will speak to the fans.

The bus will then leave Old Trafford at about 630pm, travelling along Chester Road into Manchester city centre.

It's due to arrive in Deansgate at 1915, before travelling down Lloyd Street and into Albert Square for around 1940.

The following road closures will be in place on the day:

- Albert Square from 10am for the full day

- Chester Road from 4pm inward and 5pm outward

- Deansgate from 3pm to 10.30pm

- Deansgate crossing points at Peter Street, Quay Street, Great Bridgewater Street and Liverpool Road will be closed between 7pm and 8pm.
