Police have confirmed the body found in the River Irwell on Thursday is that of missing Nathan Tomlinson.

Despite an extensive police inquiry, no further sightings of Nathan could be confirmed after he was last seen on CCTV near a footbridge near the University of Salford at 10.36pm.
At 2pm on Thursday 10 February 2011, police were called to the River Irwell near Meadow Road in Lower Broughton following reports of a body being found. Officers attended and found the body of a man.
The identity is confirmed as that of Nathan.
A post-mortem examination took place on Friday 12 February 2011. Further tests to establish the exact cause of death are to be carried out, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
