Manchester Gang Jailed For Wholesale Drug Supply

A drug gang from Manchester have been jailed after police seized cocaine, cannabis. mcat and speed worth around £380,000.

Gang leader 26 year old William Michael Skillen from Moston has been jailed for eight years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs and two counts of conspiracy to supply class B drugs. 

26 year old Mark Anderson from Ancoats got five and a half years, 28 year old Christopher Phythian from Beswick got three and a half years. 

26 year old Lewis Thompson from Salford got five years and Jason Bennett from Cheetham Hill will be sentenced later this year. 

Operation Medusa saw police seize £320,000 of cocaine, Mcat worth £45,000 and £14,000 worth of cannabis. Skillen's home was also raided and about £10,000 in cash found in a kitchen drawer.

Detective Inspector Stephen Earnshaw, from GMP's Drug Unit, said: "Today is the reward for months of painstaking detective work by our officers to unmask this organised crime group and bring the main players to justice. 

"At the head of this network was Skillen, who controlled those around him and was the main man in terms of organising the collection and delivery of large amounts of drugs in both Manchester and the rest of the country.
