Police are questioning a man on suspicion of murder after a man died from knife wounds in hospital.
Police were called to Manchester Royal Infirmary at 9am today after getting reports that a man had been admitted with stab injuries.
He later died from his injuries.
It is thought he was stabbed at a house on Wren Way in Beswick.
A 31-year-old-man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being questioned by police.
Superintendent Vanessa Jardine said: “This inquiry is at an early stage, but I want to reassure the family and the people of Beswick that we have a team of detectives investigating this tragic incident.
“We believe this is an isolated incident and have made an arrest. We have extra officers in and around the area and if anyone has any concerns I would encourage them to speak to us.”
