E-fit Of Man Wanted Over Sexual Assault In Bolton

Bolton police have released an e-fit of a man after a woman was sexually assaulted.

The 22 year old was walking in the direction of Chorley New Road at about 11:30pm on Friday 12 August. As she got to the junction of Markland Hill and Spring Lawns, Heaton, she was grabbed by the arm from behind by a man.

She was then sexually assaulted.

The victim fought him off before he ran off in the direction of Chorley New Road.

The man is described as being white, in his mid to late 20s, had short hair, high cheekbones and a thin beard running from ear to ear.  He was wearing a white v neck t-shirt with a Voi Jeans logo.

Detective constable Adam Gleave from Bolton CID said:

'I would urge people to take a good look at the image and if they recognise this person or were in the area at the time of the assault to come forward and contact police as soon as possible.'
