A man's body's been found on a pavement on a Chorlton street.
A police officer made the discovery on Wilbraham Road just before 5am on Friday. At this stage its not known how the man died.
Capital spoke to people living there, who reported hearing loud shouting in the middle of the night.
Police tape is currently in place, cordoning off part of the road, as investigation work takes place.
Superintendent Martin Greenhalgh, said:"We are at the very early stages of trying to establish how this man died.
"At this time we do not know who he is or even whether or not his death is suspicious.
"I would ask the public to bear with us while we conduct our investigation and we will of course issue updates as soon as we know more.”
