RULES

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at www.capitalfm.com apply to ‘Could’ve Punned Better’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Monday 15th November 2010 to Friday 19th November 2010 (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is 95.8 Capital FM.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
1. Details of the Competition
1.1 To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”) containing a pun which reflects a given subject as directed by the presenters.   Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
1.2 The mechanic: The presenter reads out a paper story with a pun title and asks listeners to text in if they want to come up with a better headline for the day’s story. The presenter then reads out their preferred top five from the text entrants. Their favourite pun wins 4 x tickets to Tower of London Ice Rink / Vouchers for food & drinks at the rink café / 4 x tickets to see Oliver the Musical. Winners may be brought to air to reveal their pun, but they will be notified first over the telephone. The criteria for choosing a winner will be based on comedy, value and originality.    
1.3 The presenters will judge and announce the winner on air.
   
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to all ages, but if the entrant is under 16 years of age then they will need parental consent before going to air. The winner is at the discretion of the presenters.
3. Prize
3.1 Each daily winner will receive (FOUR) tickets to Tower of London Ice Rink (skate session is subject to availability at booking) and includes food and drink (VOUCHERS) at the rink café, in additional you’ll also receive 4 x tickets to see Oliver the Musical at Drury lane (tickets are valid Monday to Thursday, now until 2nd December). Travel and accommodation is not included. Promoter has the right to refuse entry and to cancel. Prizes are non-refundable and non transferable.

2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

3. To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message with the word “spots” OR “stripes” to 83958.  Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.

4. Entrants will be picked at random and brought to air to play along with either Johnny or Lisa in a game called The Game with No Name.  Johnny and Lisa will both have 60 seconds to describe some celebrities to their caller.  Whichever caller correctly identifies the most celebrities wins the prize.

6. Winners will receive a games console of their choice (subject to availability), a voucher for £400 to put towards games of their choice and a 32” LG TV

Jingle Bell Ball with Windows 7 on air Friday Breakfast Competition on Capital.
November – December 2010
RULES

1.    The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at capitalfm.com) apply to ‘Windows 7 – JBB Friday Breakfast’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run Friday 5th, Friday 12th, Friday 19th, Friday 26th November and Friday 3rd December (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is 95.8 Capital FM.
2.    Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

Details of the Competition:
3.    To enter the Competition an Entrant must
Send a text message with the word NEW to text number announced on air (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.

4.    From all the texts received, 2 will be chosen at random and they will be brought to air. By coming to air they will automatically win a pair of tickets to the Jingle Bell Ball. The 2 listeners will go head to head and answer 7 questions of new showbiz stories from that week. The listener has to shout out their name (the show’s producer will determine who shouted their name first in the event that the listeners shout it at the same time) and answer the questions. If they are correct then they get a point, if they are incorrect the other listener gets the point. At the end of the 7questions, the listener with the most points will win a laptop loaded with Windows 7 and a VIP experience at the Jingle Bell Ball.
5.    The winner will be announced on air. Winners/runners up will be contacted off air, from the contact details provided at the time of entry to given information of their prize.

Eligibility:
6.    If the winner/runner is under 16 years of age they will need to attend the Jingle Bell Ball with an adult over the age of 18.

Comp 3: Friday 19th November
Runner up – a pair of tickets to the Jingle Bell Ball (Sunday)
Winner – a pair of tickets and a VIP experience at the Jingle Bell Ball (Sunday) and a laptop loaded with Windows 7.

Comp 4: Friday 26th November
Runner up – a pair of tickets to the Jingle Bell Ball (Saturday)
Winner – a pair of tickets and a VIP experience at the Jingle Bell Ball (Saturday) and a laptop loaded with Windows 7.

Comp 5: Friday 3rd November
Runner up – a pair of tickets to the Jingle Bell Ball (Saturday)
Winner – a pair of tickets and a VIP experience at the Jingle Bell Ball (Sunday) and a laptop loaded with Windows 7.

N.B. The VIP experience will consist of a backstage tour prior to the Jingle Bell Ball taking place. Winners will be notified of the time and contact person of air but winners must be available to arrive at least 3 hours before the doors open on the day of the Jingle Bell Ball.
