Murder Investigation After Derbyshire Death And M1 Crash

A murder investigation's on after a woman died after being found injured in Derbyshire.

Officers were called to Borrowash this morning - after a 22-year-old man who'd also been injured raised the alarm.

He is now being trated in hospital.

Thirty minutes later, at 11.30am, a man died after being hit by a lorry on the M1 southbound near Trowell Services.

Derbyshire Police said the carriageway was closed between junctions 25 and 26, but the road has since reopened. 

Detectives say both incidents are linked.
