The DB Christmas Toy Appeal 2012 T&Cs

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the Help a Capital Child Toy Appeal in which all Deutsche Bank (DB) staff will be invited to participate by donating money via Virgin Money Giving, details of which are set out below.  Help a Capital Child is aiming to raise over £5000 to provide toys for vulnerable children spending this Christmas in the four women’s refuges in London and one in the Midlands which are being supported by this appeal.

The appeal will run online from Wednesday 21st November to Friday 7th December 2012.  Through the appeal pages you will be presented with options of which refuge you would like to support (as per geographical location). On each page there will be a list of toys that have been requested by the refuges, with prices and the amount of each that have been requested.

Deutsche Bank staff are being asked to choose a refuge and donate money to help buy the list of toys that have been requested by that refuge. You will be directed to the Virgin Money Giving page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ChristmasToyAppeal2012 where you can make your selection of refuge, and toy by listing this in the comments section of your donation.

If no refuge or toy is specified then the funds will be split equally between the refuges.

If a refuge is specified but no toy is specified, then those funds will go to the refuge specified to buy toys for the children.

If a toy is specified but no refuge is specified then these funds will be equally split between the five refuges.

If a refuge receives more donations than it needs to buy all the specific toys they have requested then they will be able to use the funds to buy further toys for the refuge. If a refuge doesn’t receive enough funds to buy all the toys requested then they will be asked to buy as many toys as possible from their list of requested toys.

In the event that the specific toys requested have sold out alternative toys will be purchased.   All monies donated will go towards buying toys for the children in the women’s refuges.

Help a Capital Child is unable to use the Gift-Aid from your donation in the purchase of toys because the Gift Aid money will not be received from the government in time for Christmas.  However, please do add Gift Aid to your donation as it will be used to support the wider work of Help a Capital Child.
