Demi Lovato has revealed how her dad was suffering from mental illness as well as cancer before he passed away this month.
The X Factor USA judge conducted her first televised interview with Good Morning America yesterday (27th June) and spoke about how she has been coping.
She explained she was "doing ok" and revealed more about dealing with mental illness to host Robin Roberts.
"It's difficult, I've dealt with mental illnesses but my father also dealt with mental illnesses and he wasn't able to function very well in society," she said.

Simon Cowell was among a host of celebrities offering their condolences to the singer upon hearing the news.
