Man Dead After Rothwell M62 Lorry Crash

Investigations are underway after a man was killed in a crash on the M62 near Rothwell.

It happened just before 5am between junction 30 for Rothwell and 31 for Castleford/Normanton.

The lorry's hit the central reservation and overturned, shedding it's load of sand.

One lane is now open on both the east and westbound carriageways but The Highways Agency expects the other lanes to be closed for most of the day as they recover the lorry and sand and carry out barrier repairs.

Traffic's backed up to the M1 and A1.
