The 153rd Great Yorkshire Show's now on, the gates opened earlier this morning.

130 thousand people are expected to head to the show ground in Harrogate over the next few days.

They'll be checking out the showjumping, fashion shows, food and of course the animals including a sheep called Lady Baba!

Capital spoke to Nigel Pulling from the Yorkshire Agricultural Society:

'There's all sorts of different trade stands, you can get agricultural machinery but you can also get high fashion items, coats, shirts, that sort of thing and a lot of people come and sort of stock up on a yearly basis because they know they can get things here that they can't get on the High Street.

'It's mainly Yorkshire food but it does cover other areas as well. It's sort of famous because you can try so many of the different foods before you buy so you can get things that you wouldn't normally get in shops.

'There's a great buzz, Yorkshire people are very proud of the Yorkshire Show, you get a frisson of excitement throughout the day, it's fantastic!'
