The comedian has been mysteriously uninvited from the People's Choice Awards next week.
Katy Perry will not have to risk bumping into Russell Brand if she chooses to attend the People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles next week as the comedian has reportedly been uninvited to the ceremony.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer is rumoured to be making an appearance at the event as she is nominated for seven awards on the night.
Organisers for the industry show are supposedly worried about an awkward confrontation between the pair
A source told the Daily Mirror: "It will be Katy’s big night, a prelude to the Grammys, and now Russell has been strangely left off the list of attendees for the high-profile event.
"It was always going to be awkward for organisers in any case after their shock decision to split. But in order to avoid any awkwardness or confrontation Russ is no longer on the list."
Katy's parents were rumoured to have recently stated that they thought the impending divorce was a "gift from God" as it attracted more people to their church services.
The couple announced their divorce last week after 14 months of marriage together.
The 38th People's Choice Awards take place on the 11th February at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
