Yorkshire Hotspot For Cannabis Farms

Police in West and South Yorkshire have found the most cannabis farms in the country.
1700 were raided in the region last year, that's more than any other police force in the UK
In the last year police in West Yorkshire discovered 936 while 851 were found in South Yorkshire.
National on average of more than 21 cannabis factories were found daily in Britain.
Police seized marijuana in the UK with a street value of £100 million.
Nationally the number of farms discovered has doubled in four years.
In the last two years, police forces have seized 1.1 million cannabis plants.
In South Yorkshire there are 64 cannabis factories to every 100 thousand people, in West Yorkshire that number is a little lower at 42.
The figures come from an Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo) report.
