A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a 24 year old woman was found in a house in Bingley.
Officers were called to the house on Manor Drive in Cottingley on Wednesday (29th February) morning after a member of the public called police concerned about a woman's welfare.
They found the body of a 24 year old woman. It's not yet clear how she died and a post mortem is being carried out.
West Yorkshire police say they are treating her death as suspicious and have arrested a 31 year old man on suspicion of murder.
DCI Simon Atkinson from West Yorkshire Police said: "Homicide detectives are investigating thecircumstances surrouding the discovery of this woman's body and would like to speak to anyone who may have information.
"Anyone who heard or saw suspicious behaviour earlier this morning at the address on Manor Drive is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team regarding Operation Prospermouth on 101."
