A woman's been sexually assaulted in Bradford by a man brandishing a knife.
It happened at about 4am yesterday morning, the 33 year old woman was walking along City Road at its Junction with Menstone Street when she was approached by a man riding a bicycle.
On walking down a nearby passageway the man took what is believed to be a knife from his rucksack and threatened her.
He then subject her to a serious sexual assault before she managed to get away uninjured.
Detective Chief Inspector Lisa Griffin is leading the investigation and said:
'This was clearly a terrifying ordeal for the victim and specialist officers are working closely with her to establish the identity of her attacker.
'He is described as white, around 25 years old, around 5’7” tall, of broad build and was wearing a woolly hat and a rucksack.
'As he was on a bike at the time, people in the area may remember this man and we would like to hear from those people immediately.
'We are currently treating this as an isolated incident and studying CCTV from the area as part of our enquiries.'
