A woman's appeared at Northallerton Court charged with attempted murder. It's after a hammer attack on a pensioner in Leyburn on Monday.
A woman's appeared at Northallerton Court charged with attempted murder.
It's after a hammer attack on a pensioner in Leyburn on Monday.
The 84-year-old was hit with the hammer and her own walking stick in the public toilets at Leyburn Market Place.
She was admitted to hospital but has since been released after treatment.
Fourty-seven-year-old Ellen Pounder from Rose Dene in Leyburn was remanded in custody and will appear at Teesside Crown Court on the 8th of December.
