Two Men Charged Over Rotherham Assault

Two men have been charged with assaulting an elderly man in the early hours of Monday morning in Rotherham.

29-year-old Damien Hunt, of Doncaster Road, Rotherham and 21-year-old Kieran John Rice of Oakes Meadow, Rotherham, are due to appear at Rotherham Magistrates' Court today.

Both men have been charged with section 18 assault with intent.

81-year-old Mushin Ahmed's in a critical but stable condition after he was attacked in the early hours of Monday morning just off Fitzwilliam Road.

Kieran John Rice has also been charged with possession of a controlled drug.
