Tributes To Yorkshire Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan

Tributes have begun pouring in from friends and family of the five Yorkshire soldiers killed in a bomb blast in Afghanistan earlier this week.

19 year old Private Christopher Kershaw from Bradford was the youngest serviceman killed in the explosion in Hellmand province on Tuesday.

Already tributes to the teenager have been pouring in on facebook and twitter. 

One said: "Still can't believe one of my good childhood friends died in the war yesterday, it just makes it all real when someone ya know dies in this war R.I.P Chris Kershaw"

Another said: You hear about soldiers dying for their country but never in a million years did i think it'd happen to someone I knew, RIP Chris Kershaw!

Huddersfield Giants star Keith Mason tweeted his tribute to Corporal Jake Hartley from Huddersfield: "Rip to my boy an best mate who was killed in the call of duty today in afghan true solidger, (sic) RIP jake hartley."

Another friend said: "RIP Jake and all the fallen men and women who protect us in the uk your sacrifice will not be forgotten."

Corporal Hartley and Private Kershaw died alongside 20 year old Private Anthony Frampton and 21 year old Private Daniel Wilford who were both from Huddersfield and 20 year old Private Daniel Wade from Warringon and 33 year old Sergeant Nigel Coupe from 1st Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.
