Teenager Hit By Sheffield Bus
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after an 18-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries yesterday, after being hit by a bus on Glossop Road in Sheffield.
At 5.15pm on Wednesday, 14 December, the woman left Bar One on Glossop Road and walked the short distance to the junction with Durham Road. She then walked across the road and collided with a double decker bus travelling on Glossop Road towards the city centre.
The 18-year-old woman, from Suffolk sustained serious head injuries and a punctured lung and is being treated in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
The bus driver, a 48-year-old man from Sheffield was not reported to have been hurt.
