Man Arrested After Doncaster Tipper Death

A man has been arrested after a jogger was hit by a tipper truck in Doncaster.

A yellow Iveco Tipper was travelling along Ruddle Lane from Micklebring towards Edlington and is reported to have overtaken a silver BMW 3 Series.

Whilst overtaking, the tipper is believed to have struck a pedestrian who had been jogging towards Edlington.

The man, who's from Conisbrough, sadly died from his injuries.

Police have arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and have recovered the truck. 

They are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at around 4.30pm on Thursday March 22nd.
