A man has been remanded in custody charged with murder after a 44-year-old was found dead at a flat in Sheffield.
Gary Beech was discovered with knife wounds at the property on Batemoor Road in the Batemoor area on Friday afternoon (June 24)
A post mortem has revealed the 44-year-old was stabbed to death.
Benjamin Anthony Scott has been charged with murder and appeared before Sheffield Magistrates' Court where he was remanded in custody.
Meanwhile, Mr Beech's family have issued the following statement: "We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the friends and people in the local community for their assistance in the police investigation.
"Gary was a dearly loved family member and will be greatly missed by all. His family including his son and daughter love him very much and are saddened that he will now not see his only grandson grow up."
