Detectives investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman from Sheffield are asking for your help tracing the woman’s last known movements.

On Wednesday 29 April, the body of a woman was discovered in the River Don, close to Warren Street in Attercliffe.

The woman has been named today as Idman Farah.

Extensive enquiries have been conducted in a bid to trace Idman’s movements in the days leading up to her death.

The last known sighting of Idman was on Wednesday 1 April, when she was seen by her family in the Firth Park area of Sheffield.

Acting Detective Sergeant Iain Martin said: “At this time, we are treating Idman’s death as unexplained and we retain an open mind as to how her body came to be in the river.

“There is clearly a gap in our timeline between the family’s last sighting of Idman and the discovery of her body in April, so if anybody recognises Idman from the photo and is able to help us piece together her movements please do get in touch.”
