A nine-year-old boy's suffered serious leg and head injuries after being knocked down by a car.
It happened just before 6pm on Wednesday evening on Nethershire Lane.
The boy ran out into the road near an ice cream van at the junction of Perkyn Avenue and into the driver's side of a white Vauxhall Astra.
The ice cream van was parked up and serving customers at the time.
The boy was taken to Sheffield Children's Hospital, where he's now being treated for his injuries.
The driver - who's 21 and from the city - wasn't injured.
South Yorkshire Police want to speak to the driver of the ice cream van and anyone else who saw what happened.
