Murder Probe In Doncaster

A murder investigations ben launched in Doncaster, after the body of a man was found in a house.

Police were called out at 3.30pm on Wednesday, to a house on Burton Avenue in Balby where the man who died, Mark Stannard, lived with two other men.

The post-mortem on 45 year old Mark, revealed he died from serious internal injuries, resulting in a murder inquiry.

Three people, two men and a woman, all from Doncaster have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently being questioned by officers.

Mark’s dad, sister and niece have made the following statement:

“We are devastated to hear of Mark’s death. He was a loving son, brother and uncle.

“This is a very difficult time for us all, coming to terms with what has happened.

“We’d now like to be left alone to grieve in peace.”
