Murder Investigation launched in Wakefield

Police in Wakefield have launched a murder investigation after a man was found with stab wounds at flats on Marsland Avenue in Eastmoor.

Officers got a call around 7.04am today and the man was taken to Pinderfields Hospital but died a short time later.

The flats and surrounding area have been cordoned off by police officers.

It’s not known who the man is, although he is believed to be in his 20's.

A 33 year old man and a 23 year old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.
